About Veridae and these Terms
Veridae supplies reagents for qualified laboratory research through veridae.co. Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@veridae.co.
These Terms apply when you use the store or place an order. Our Research Use Policy and Shipping & Returns policy form part of these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. Accepting these Terms does not sign you up for marketing or optional cookies.
Who can order
You must be at least 21 years old and a qualified researcher, or an authorized representative of a research organization, carrying out lawful in-vitro laboratory work. You must have the training, facilities and authority needed to obtain and handle the materials you order.
Provide accurate account, research and order information. If you order for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to act for it. We may ask for information to confirm research eligibility and may decline or cancel an order if we cannot establish eligibility or reasonably suspect an unlawful or prohibited use. A checkbox acknowledgment alone does not establish that a purchase or intended use is lawful.
Research use only
Our reagents are supplied for in-vitro laboratory research only. They must not be administered to people or animals or used in medical care, veterinary care, food, supplements, cosmetics or household products. They must not be resold or transferred for any prohibited purpose.
We do not provide dosing, treatment or administration advice. Articles, product descriptions and laboratory reports do not establish that a product is safe or effective for use in people or animals. The complete restrictions are set out in our Research Use Policy.
Product information and test reports
Check the product name, amount, form and available test report before ordering. Product photographs may be illustrative; the selected item and amount shown in your order identify what you are buying.
We use third-party laboratories for product testing. A certificate of analysis, or COA, records the results for the sample identified in that report. The report states which measurements were performed. A purity result does not, by itself, establish content, sterility, endotoxin levels or suitability for a particular experiment.
The batch number is a tracking code for a particular group of products. Match it to the report you are reviewing. If we show a report for another vial size, it is labeled accordingly; it does not establish the amount in, or test results for, the size you selected. When no report is available, we say so.
We do not promise one purity percentage or the same set of tests for every product or batch. A missing result is not a passing result. Any specific product description or express commitment that forms part of your purchase remains subject to applicable law; this section does not cancel it.
Handling and research responsibilities
You are responsible for assessing whether a reagent is suitable for your lawful laboratory work and for following the applicable safety, storage and disposal requirements. Use appropriate facilities, protective equipment and trained personnel. Review the available product information and safety documentation before handling a reagent.
Keep the product and batch identification with your research records. Do not use an item that appears mislabeled, damaged or otherwise unsuitable; contact us so the issue can be investigated. We may ask you to stop using or isolate affected material if a product problem is identified.
Accounts and acceptable website use
Keep your account credentials secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not impersonate someone else, submit false information, interfere with the website, bypass access controls, access another person’s records or use the store for fraud.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a security risk, suspected fraud or a breach of these Terms. An account restriction does not cancel any refund, order record or other right you are entitled to receive.
Orders, prices and payment
Review your items, delivery address, discounts and total before submitting an order. Prices are shown in US dollars. Applicable shipping charges and taxes are displayed before payment. Use only a payment method you are authorized to use.
Payment options depend on the services available at checkout. An order receipt or payment authorization does not mean that the items have shipped. Orders must meet our payment, eligibility and product-release requirements before dispatch.
Before dispatch, we may decline or cancel an order because an item is unavailable, an obvious price or description error needs correction, payment fails, eligibility cannot be confirmed, or there is a reasonable concern about fraud or prohibited use. If a correction changes the price or the item you ordered, we will obtain your agreement before proceeding. If we cancel a paid order, we will refund the amount paid for the canceled items and any related charges that must be refunded.
Pre-orders
If we offer a pre-order, the listing will identify it as a pre-order and explain the testing status and expected dispatch timing before payment. A pre-order is not a statement that testing is complete or that the item is ready to ship.
You may cancel an unshipped pre-order for a refund. If we cannot meet the stated dispatch time, we will explain the delay and provide the required choice to wait or cancel. We will not substitute another product, accept a revised price for you, or treat your order as approval for an unreported test result.
Discounts and rewards
Each offer states its dates, eligible items and other limits. Offers combine only when the published offer rules allow it. Check the discount and final total at checkout. We will honor an offer used as intended; we may correct an obvious error or cancel a transaction involving fraud or deliberate abuse.
Where a rewards program is offered, the displayed program rules explain how points are earned and redeemed. Points earned on an order may be adjusted if that order is refunded or canceled. Changes to an offer or program do not retroactively increase the price of an accepted order.
Shipping and delays
We currently ship within the contiguous United States. Delivery options, charges and any dispatch estimate are shown before you order. See Shipping & Returns for details.
If we cannot ship within the time stated, we will notify you and offer the choice to agree to a delay or cancel for a refund as required by law. We will not keep payment indefinitely for an order we cannot fulfill. Events outside our reasonable control may cause delays, but they do not remove refund or other rights that apply to your order.
Cancellations and problems with an order
Contact us as soon as possible if you want to cancel. We can cancel and refund an order that has not been dispatched. Once a reagent has shipped, we do not accept returns simply because you changed your mind: we cannot confirm how a returned item was handled or stored.
If your order does not arrive, arrives damaged, contains the wrong item or is missing an item, email hello@veridae.co with your order number and a description of the problem. Please report visible damage or packing errors within 14 days when possible and keep the packaging. We may ask for photographs or other reasonable information to investigate. This request does not shorten a legal claim period or require evidence you cannot reasonably provide.
We will review the order and available delivery records and provide an appropriate replacement or refund where warranted. Store credit is offered only if you choose it. A carrier delivery scan is evidence we will consider, not an automatic rejection of your concern. Do not return a reagent without instructions from us.
The change-of-mind restriction does not exclude remedies for faulty or misdescribed goods or any other rights provided by law. You may contact us for help without giving up any right to dispute a payment, report a concern or seek another lawful remedy.
Reviews and other content
You may share honest reviews of your experience. We do not impose penalties for lawful criticism or require you to give up ownership of your review. Where the site accepts submissions, do not include another person’s private information, unlawful material or content that infringes someone else’s rights.
Content may be moderated for spam, threats, privacy violations or other lawful reasons. Disagreement with an opinion is not, by itself, a reason to treat a review as false.
Website content and third-party links
The Veridae name, branding and original website content belong to Veridae or their respective rights holders. You may keep copies of your order information and reports for lawful research, recordkeeping and other uses permitted by law. Do not alter a report, falsely imply an endorsement or reproduce protected material beyond the permission you have.
Links to laboratory portals and other websites are provided for reference. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. A link does not mean Veridae controls the service or endorses every statement on it. We remain responsible for our own descriptions and commitments.
Warranties and research results
We do not promise that a reagent will produce a particular experimental result or be suitable for every research method. You are responsible for selecting material appropriate to your work.
Except for express product descriptions and commitments that form part of your purchase, and warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded, the website and products are provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, Veridae disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. This disclaimer does not override an express warranty or a remedy that applicable law requires.
Limits on liability
To the extent permitted by law, Veridae is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from the website or an order, including lost profits or the costs of a failed research project. Subject to the exceptions below, Veridae’s total liability for claims arising from a purchase is limited to the amount paid for the order giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit. They do not restrict a required refund, an enforceable express warranty, or mandatory consumer or privacy rights. Some jurisdictions restrict warranty disclaimers or liability limits; in that case these provisions apply only to the extent lawful.
Claims caused by prohibited use
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for third-party claims and reasonable costs caused by your unlawful use of a product, deliberate misrepresentation of research eligibility, or unauthorized resale for a prohibited purpose. This responsibility applies only to the extent the claim is caused by your conduct. It does not make you responsible for Veridae’s negligence, misconduct or legal obligations.
If we seek reimbursement under this provision, we will notify you promptly and give you a reasonable opportunity to participate in the defense. We will not agree to a settlement that imposes an admission or non-monetary obligation on you without your consent.
Governing law and disputes
California law governs these Terms, without applying its conflict-of-law rules. This choice does not take away protections that must apply under the law of your state. You may contact hello@veridae.co to try to resolve a concern directly.
These Terms do not require arbitration, waive a right to bring a lawful claim in small claims court, or prevent you from contacting a regulator or exercising other rights that cannot be waived.
Changes and how these Terms work
The version shown on this page identifies the current Terms. Changes apply prospectively and do not rewrite the terms of an earlier order. We will provide any additional notice or obtain any agreement required for a material change.
If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. A separate written agreement signed by Veridae controls over a conflicting term for the transaction it covers. Order-related obligations and provisions that are intended to continue, including payment, intellectual property and lawful liability limits, continue after account closure.
