Privacy Policy
Version 2026-09-06
This policy explains how Veridae handles personal information when you visit veridae.co, use an account, place an order or contact us. It also explains your choices. Optional analytics and marketing choices are separate from accepting the store’s Terms.
Information we collect
Information you provide: your name, email address, account details, delivery and billing addresses, a phone number if you provide one, order details, research-eligibility information you submit, preferences and messages sent to support. We also record acknowledgments and consent choices needed to administer the account or order.
Information from your browser: technical information used to operate and secure the website, such as an IP address, browser and device details, pages requested and error or access logs. Cookies and browser storage remember settings such as your sign-in, cart and privacy choices.
Information from services involved in your order: payment status and transaction references, delivery and tracking information, and information needed to investigate a failed payment, delivery problem or dispute. The information depends on the payment and delivery services used for that order.
Please do not send us medical records, passwords, full payment-card numbers or other sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request. If additional information is needed to check research eligibility or a privacy request, we will explain what is needed.
How we use information
We use information to manage accounts, assess research eligibility, process and fulfill orders, provide product and batch records, answer questions and communicate about an order or product concern.
We also use information to keep records, prevent fraud and unauthorized access, investigate complaints and disputes, meet legal obligations and maintain the website. If you choose optional analytics, we use those measurements to understand how the website is used and where it needs improvement.
Marketing is optional. If you subscribe to marketing messages, we use your chosen contact details for those messages. You do not need to subscribe to make a purchase. Order, security and product-safety communications serve a different purpose and may still be sent when needed.
Cookies and optional analytics
Essential cookies and browser storage support features such as sign-in, the cart, security and your saved choices. You can control cookies through your browser, but blocking essential storage may prevent some features from working.
When optional analytics is enabled and you choose to allow it, the site uses PostHog to measure visits and shopping steps and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use public pages. Clarity can create heatmaps and session replays, which reconstruct activity such as scrolling and clicks. These services receive technical identifiers and information about website activity.
Optional analytics remains off if you decline it or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. You can change your choice through Cookie preferences in the footer. Changing your choice stops future optional collection in that browser; it does not automatically delete information already collected.
The site does not otherwise change its behavior in response to a browser’s older Do Not Track setting. Use Cookie preferences or Global Privacy Control to control optional analytics. Third-party sites you open, including a laboratory’s report portal, have their own privacy practices.
When information is shared
Services that help operate the store receive information needed for their role. These include website hosting and account services, payment providers, shipping and label services, support and message-delivery services, and analytics providers when optional analytics is allowed. For example, a carrier needs delivery details, while a payment provider processes information needed for the payment you choose.
Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers, to comply with a lawful request or legal obligation, to address fraud or a security incident, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. If the business is involved in a merger, sale or similar transaction, relevant records may be reviewed or transferred subject to applicable privacy obligations.
Some providers also handle information under their own privacy notices, including when you use their payment service or open their website. Do not assume that opening a third-party link is covered solely by Veridae’s policy.
How long information is kept
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose described in this policy. Relevant factors include whether an account or order is active, the need to retain transaction and batch records, tax and accounting requirements, security needs, disputes and legal claims.
Some records must remain after account deletion or an unsubscribe request. For example, we may need an order record for tax purposes or a record of an opt-out to avoid sending further marketing. Where retention is no longer needed, information is deleted or de-identified, subject to applicable backup and legal-retention requirements.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can update available account details and communication preferences in your account. You can also email hello@veridae.co to request access to, correction of or deletion of your information, or to ask a privacy question. You do not need to create an account to contact us.
Use the unsubscribe instructions in a marketing message or contact us to stop marketing. If SMS marketing is offered and you have subscribed, its sign-up terms explain how to stop those messages. A marketing opt-out does not prevent communications needed to complete an order, protect an account or address a product concern.
Depending on where you live and which laws apply to Veridae, you may have additional rights to receive a copy of information, opt out of certain uses or disclosures, limit certain uses of sensitive information, or appeal a privacy-request decision. California rights may include knowing, deleting and correcting information, opting out of sale or sharing for cross-context advertising, and limiting certain uses of sensitive information, where those rights apply.
We may need to verify an access, correction or deletion request using information reasonably related to your relationship with us. An authorized agent may make a request where the law permits. We do not require identity verification merely to reject optional analytics. We will respond within the period required by applicable law, explain an applicable exception or extension, and provide appeal instructions where required. We will not penalize you for exercising a protected privacy right.
Security
We use safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use and disclosure. No website, network or storage system can be guaranteed secure. Keep account credentials private and contact us if you suspect an account or data-security problem. This statement does not limit any security duty we have under law.
Age requirements
The store is intended for qualified researchers aged 21 or older. It is not directed to children. If you believe someone below the permitted age has provided personal information, contact us so we can review it and take appropriate action.
Updates and contact
The version date at the top of this page identifies the current policy. If practices change materially, we will update the policy, identify the change prominently and provide any additional notice or choice required by law. A policy update does not retroactively authorize a new use that requires your consent.
For privacy questions or requests, email hello@veridae.co.
